Abstract

During the “Course on the notion of person in Chiapas” held in 2005 within the framework of the Permanent Seminar on Studies on Central America, it was possible to distinguish and denote differential aspects between the peoples of Mayan-Quiché origin currently settled in the Altos de Chiapas region - tsotsiles, tseltales, tojolabales, choles. At the end of it was a milestone of curiosity about other particularities, from which the concern arose to share with various scholars of the notion of person from other latitudes, both within the Maya area and the Caribbean and Latin America.
